Eisenstadt, 3 May 2019: In cooperation with Prof. Reinhard Gaul from the HAK Eisenstadt, the team of Election-Watch.EU (wahlbeobachtung.org) conducted a European elections workshop with two classes in preparation for the panel discussion with top candidates on 7 May. This workshop took place on the Action Day for Political Education in Burgenland and within the European Youth Week. The state parliamentary president of Burgenland (pictured) and the Burgenland state education director visited this event and talked to the pupils.

As part of the discussion event on 7 May, up to 150 pupils and apprentices have the opportunity to ask their questions to top Austrian candidates for the European elections. The event will provide an opportunity to broaden personal knowledge of the European Union and increase motivation to participate in the European elections.

The event is organized in cooperation with the liaison office of the European  (#this time I am voting) and prepared by Election-Watch.EU (wahlbeobachtung.org). The preparation of the event was sponsored by the Future Fund of the Republic of Austria and takes place in the context of the Action Days for Political Education of the Austrian Ministry for Education and Zentrum Polis.
