Vienna Center for Electoral Research invites Election-Watch.EU (wahlbeobachtung.org) to discuss its electoral reform proposals

At the invitation of the head of the Institute for Political Science of the University of Vienna, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Müller, Election-Watch.EU (wahlbeobachtung.org) presented and discussed its work and electoral reform proposals at the Vienna Center for Electoral Research (VieCER) on 17 January 2019. The lecture included explanations on the methodology of wahlbeobachtung.org (Election-Watch.EU), interim results of the advocacy for participatory electoral reforms in Austria as well as plans for education for young voters and observation of the 2019 European elections.

The research center ‘Vienna Center for Electoral Research’ (VieCER) was established in September 2017 as a sub-unit of the Faculty of Social Sciences. VieCER is headed by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Müller (Department of Government). Univ.-Prof. Sylvia Kritzinger (Department of Government) and Univ.-Prof. Dr. Hajo Boomgaarden (Department of Communication) are the deputy heads of VieCER. Researchers of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics are also involved in the Center.
